Vita Inclinata Launches Sub Rosa – A Special Projects Company

ROOMFIELD, CO, September 21, 2022 — Vita Inclinata (Vita), developer and producer of precision aerospace and industrial stabilization devices, today announced the launch of Sub Rosa, a special projects company designed to explore the development of new, advanced safety technology. In addition, Vita also reveals Sub Rosa’s first project titled Vita ARIES, a fixed-wing insertion and extraction device.

“It is the duty of engineers, technology builders, and project visionaries to unite in realizing tomorrow’s products and services via the window of today’s ideas,” said Derek Sikora, EVP of Engineering and Chief Technology Officer. “Sub Rosa embodies the Vita team’s commitment to developing advanced capabilities for vast applications. We are focused on meeting the needs and challenges of tomorrow.”

Likened to Lockheed Martin’s Skunk Works and Boeing’s Phantom Works, Sub Rosa is emerging as another powerful agent of change, breaking barriers in innovation and defense acquisition. For Vita, the Sub Rosa program stems from the company’s history of working within the Department of Defense (DoD) innovation ecosystem to bring new technologies to the warfighter. Vita successfully utilized the DoD’s Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) funding to launch its first product, the Vita Rescue System, currently in use by the U.S. Army. Vita follows the rescue system’s success with the introduction of Vita ARIES, another SBIR-backed innovation.

Vita ARIES is a dual-use solution for the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial operators to conduct fixed-wing insertion and extraction of personnel or supplies without putting people or cargo at risk. The project is in active development and testing with early promising results.

“Sub Rosa encompasses the very soul of Vita,” said CEO Caleb Carr. “It all started with an extraordinary idea to solve a real-world safety problem. Sub Rosa now exists to ensure more extraordinary ideas commence and lead to further innovative products that impact the global community for the greater good.”
