Michael Hodge

USAF Colonel Ret, HH60 Pilot

Michael Hodge has over 40 years of Federal and Commercial experience across multiple industries.  He is currently the VP Federal of Avocado Systems, a leader in innovative Cyber Security. While at Cisco Systems’ Strategic Programs Office he developed solutions for ISR, C4I, simulation, IoT, connected bases and network integration across the DoD. Prior to that he worked at Tandberg and BAE in consulting, business development and management roles.

Mike retired from the US Air Force as a Colonel in 2007 following a 27-year career. Mike was a command pilot with over 100 combat missions and held numerous leadership and command positions in Special Operations, the Conventional Air Force and the Intelligence Community.

Mike holds a MBA from Virginia Tech and a Masters Degree in International Relations from Troy University. He was the National Defense Fellow to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he studied the integration of commercial off the shelf technologies into defense applications. He also holds a Masters in Strategic Studies from the Army War College where he served as the US Air Force fellow to the US Army’s highly selective Advanced Operational Studies Fellowship.
