Jason Roberts

Jason comes from a small farm town in Southern Illinois where he found himself involved in playing and watching sports. (Today, he still cheers on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Denver Broncos.) Following high school, Jason attended Western Illinois University to get his B.S. in Exercise Science and, eventually, a M.S. in Physiology/Sports Psychology.

Jason then joined the Air National Guard as a Security Forces Officer, also referred to as the “Military Police.” He was on active duty for 7 years until he was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 2011. He earned his Veteran status by deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009. His father served in the Infantry during the Vietnam War, and his grandfather was a paratrooper in WW2 — Jason wanted to become a third generation veteran. After his military career, Jason was employed as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater while completing his Masters degree. In 2013 he moved to Arizona to become the head strength and conditioning coach at a sports medicine facility. He decided to change career fields and dipped his feet in financial advising. He then progressed into the management side of operations here in Colorado in a few different industries until joining our team.

When Jason is not working at Vita, he is working at the firehouse as a volunteer EMT/Firefighter — where Jason says he enjoys the camaraderie similar to the military, and he is motivated to help people having their worst day. In fact, Jason met our CEO and volunteer firefighter, Caleb Carr, here, and that’s how he heard about the Vita mission.
