Christy Ivler

Christy Ivler

Christina Ivler has spent the last twelve years working as a research aerospace engineer for the U.S. Army Aviation Development Directorate. She specializes in drone, rotorcraft, and fixed-wing aircraft flight dynamics, handling qualities, flight control law design, and flight testing. Her research has spanned a wide variety of flight control development programs in the government and industry, applying optimization-based methods to a broad range of rotorcraft ranging from small UAS to heavy lift. She has published over 25 technical papers and is co-author of the book Practical Methods for Aircraft and Rotorcraft Flight Control Design: An Optimization Based Approach. Christy received B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical  and aeronautical engineering from UC Davis, and a Ph.D. from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University.

Mike Stein

Michael Stein has 30 years of experience working with technology companies and nearly 25 years of experience advising clients in the field of intellectual property protection and enforcement. Michael has extensive experience counseling technology-oriented clients – primarily in the electronics, telecommunications and software industries – in complex matters concerning U.S. and international patent laws. Michael focuses his practice on patent portfolio development and counseling, USPTO post-grant litigation proceedings, and client counseling in respect to industry standard-setting activities and open source software. Michael has also successfully formed and managed several “key client teams” that have been able to achieve the highest performance reviews for large firm clients. These teams have been recognized as providing the highest-quality work product, as well as the highest-quality service delivery.

Adam Philipp

Adam has been involved in the prosecution of patent applications in the computer science, electrical devices, consumer products, blockchain, cryptography, cryptocurrencies, and related fields since 1998 and with Internet and technology related law since 1995. He also counsels clients on intellectual property portfolio strategies and infringement matters. His varied practical experiences range from computer security, cryptography, distributed object oriented programming to kernel-level memory management. His area of emphasis covers a wide variety of patent, trademark and trade secret issues, with particular focus on network and security related applications.

Jan has extensive background in both corporate and startup development. With a series of successful exits behind him, Jan has seen it all. Jan provides strategic guidance on the development of companies and provides the “devils advocate” approach to business decisions to help better define and examine the overall business trajectory.

Brianna has been an active leader and angel investor with Keiretsu Forum since its launch in Seattle in 2005 and supporting its growth to become the largest and most active group globally. She has proven specifically adept at screening companies for angel investment, coaching companies on presentation and investor relations, sales strategy execution, relationship management, and leading due diligence teams. Brianna has established a reputation for achievement in all phases of the Keiretsu process: risk management, market anticipation and response, regional/national business development, organizational development, angel investing, and overall enterprise management.

Robert practices aviation accident law. He handles a wide variety of complex aviation cases involving U.S. and international accidents. Robert represents victims and their families. He has spent nearly 25 years litigating cases against small and large corporations, aircraft component manufacturers, airlines, charter and fixed base operators, maintenance and overhaul facilities, and other at-fault parties.

Marc Arnold

Marc is the former president and COO of HASCO International Inc., a manufacturing and diversified services firm. During Mr. Arnold’s tenure, the company’s combined annual revenue grew from $5 million to $100 million while earnings grew at approximately 19 percent per year. HASCO’s superior performance attracted First Century Partners, an affiliate of Smith Barney, which purchased the company in a leveraged buyout. Mr. Arnold left his full-time position with HASCO in 1993, but continues to serve as a director. He is an active pilot with more than 3,500 flight hours and is a licensed Airline Transport pilot with Multiengine, Land, Sea and Glider ratings. Check out a novel flight here.

Mick Maurer brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across aerospace and industrial divisions of United Technologies Corporation. Senior executive positions included President of Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation and Senior Vice President, Global Operations for the Otis Elevator Company. Prior to joining United Technologies, he was an officer in the U.S. Navy’s nuclear submarine program, performed research at Los Alamos National Laboratory and taught physics at the U. S. Naval Academy. Mick served as the chairman of the American Helicopter Society, co-chair of the governing board for the MIT Leaders for Global Operations program, on the board of directors for Bridgeport Hospital and on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the U.S. Naval Academy, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
